Upcycle Your Stuff—

If you give me an afternoon, a can of spray paint and some pretty fabric, I can transform just about any piece of road side trash into a glorious treasure.
This old kitchen cart had seen better days but the good news was it was sturdy and the wheels still worked. Yet this pathetic piece of furniture seemed to beckon me to the trash pile it was standing in.
When I found this piece, I was in a really good, crafty mood so I cleaned and prepped the piece (not my favorite part of the project but oh-so necessary), primed it then painted it. But it needed a little softer touch. Ah-hah! Fabric! So out came the rotary cutter, my stash of fabric and sewing machine and away I went.
This project is pretty easy and can be accomplished in an afternoon---weather permitting! Careful measuring of the surface and area you want to cover with fabic is key as is having all the right tools and product to work with. As one of my crafty friends says--- “Tools are everything in everything you do.” And it is so true in every home décor or craft project.
So get your crafty spirit up and why not up-cycle something that has so much more potential than filling up the landfill! Enjoy!
